I Stink!
Bad news and bad news. The fishing has been stinking and I can't buy internet if I had a million dollars at Lake Fork. After the blow, the run off water muddied up the Lake and high pressure and full moon are possible suspects. I have afew pics and will update soon- dont' get excited. Reports will resume soon!!

Blown Me Down!
Good and news and bad news again. We are catching kokes! The bad news is they spread out from their little hangout across the Lake Fork Marina. Turnip put a 9 fish cath together but it was slow with a fish an hour- red arnies and such. Today- windy, so we switched to casting for browns and they never dissapoint. 20+ fish at Lake Fork bridge biggest being 2.75lbs- these fish will bring the action when all esle fails. Tomorrow's a blow too so look for an average report and expect the beginning of the week to look up. Also- BMF's own webcam will be back and running this week so the real deal weather with a decent picture will be available. Gear up and get ready for the big bite!

Cappy's Back!
Good and news and bad news. Bad: Non fishing related activities going on tomorrow. Good: Turnip will be doing the search for kokes tomorrow- and he's no tight lip!

Fishin' Again!
Well, the fishing has been good and multiple species are are cooperating. We've hammered a 'few' hundreds pounds of lakers so far this season and are still working hard. Turnip, our new kokanee guru on the team is crushing kokes at Lake Fork and dinner has been great at this guy's place. He will soon be online and aswering all your koke-quirk questions. The browns are banging on jigs on the shorelines and keeping the late moring bite hot. The water temps are creeping up so get ready for the explosion of fish. We will be updating daily so stay tuned, or stop reading and go catching- the Cap.

Captains’ Log Hey Folks, this is Captain Casey, owner and head guide of Blue Mesa Fishing. We love fishing Blue Mesa Reservoir and do it with a passion to catch more and bigger fish and give clients a memorable guided fishing experience on every trip. Here at Blue Mesa Fishing we do many kinds of guided fishing trips from Lake Trout fishing during ice out in the spring, to kokanee salmon trolling in the summer and jigging in the fall. After the kokanee salmon leave the lake, we focus on fly fishing the secluded waters of the Lake Fork arm of the Gunnison River and Cebolla Creek. We also offer guided ice fishing trips from Blue Mesa Reservoir to Rifle Gap State Park in Western Colorado. Here at Blue Mesa Fishing, we try to catch throughout the entire year and offer a variety of ways to do it. If you’re interested in a trip, look through any of our packages, or just read through our site to learn how you can catch more and bigger fish in Colorado. Thanks again for checking us out and visit our three new sites found at the bottom of each page! Fish On
