Ice Ice Baby!

Safe ice can be found in Iola basin and is making its way West!  Iola has 3-7″ of ice depending on the spot and fishing has been good for trout.  As the ice makes its way west, we will see some of the kokanee salmon and mackinaw lake trout locations start to produce! The rest of the lake is still open and boatable if you can brave the cold!  The lake has come up over three feet since the end of October and the Gunnison basin is well over 140% of average snow pack for this time of year so hopefully we will see the lake continue to rise this coming spring! Trout fishing has been excellent, while fishing for lake trout and salmon has been fair.
